THE ROLE
Due to an internal promotion we are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager for our South Australian telecommunications business, and the NBN infrastructure role out in South Australia.
The role involves developing and implementing commercial strategies, and provide advice to senior management on commercial and financial matters associated with our telecommunications projects, to ensure their financial success.
Responsibilities include;
- In conjunction with senior management, develop and implement commercial strategies aligned to the business and project objectives.
- Develop and implement processes to ensure the business' procedures are aligned to their commercial policies.
- Deliver strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of revenue, cost and cashflow and implement corrective measures within delegations of authority
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management and financial reports
- Manage, develop and mentor contract administration, procurement and finance teams (8 reports)
- Assist with management and implementation of program or project changes and where necessary negotiation of claims and disputes with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
- Building positive and productive relationships with all stakeholders
This role will be based out of our Dudley Park office
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Business, Law or equivalent areas.
- Strong people management and leadership skills with prior experience managing and developing Finance/Commercial teams
- Demonstrable competencies in cost control, cost forecasting, contract management, risk assessment and management and negotiation.
- 5 years + prior experience in a senior commercial or finance role on telecommunication or infrastructure projects.
