Lendlease are looking to appoint an Environmental Officer to join the LTJV project as part of Lendlease Services. Based at our depot in Rockdale you will assume responsibility for providing safety and environment advice and development/implementation of initiatives and processes and reporting on compliance.
The purpose of the role is to assist in the implementation and operations of the environment management systems and to manage, plan, organise, coordinate, expedite, monitor and report all environmental related activities that assist the result in delivery of the outcomes and achieve objectives on assigned projects. The Environmental Officer also assists with the research, creation and implementation of sustainability initiatives, programs, projects and practices that ensure the company’s interests and responsibilities relating to the environment are protected and improved.
To be a success in this role you will be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline and are able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of Environmental legislation and governance. You will be confident in your dealings with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external ensuring the highest standard of safety is maintained for all stakeholders at all times.
LT Joint Venture brings together the technical and service delivery expertise of Tyco with the project management and asset management experience of Lend Lease. The LT Joint Venture manages the maintenance of roadside technology in the Metro East Zone of Sydney for ITS or intelligent transport systems, including assets such as electronic message signs, vehicle detection loops, tidal flow systems, traffic lights, CCTV cameras, emergency telephones, traffic counters, travel time information systems, weather information systems and variable speed limit signs.
