The primary purpose of this position is to direct and control the contracts administration function, overseeing estimating to ensure contracts are met within cost estimates and are administered efficiently.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Direct and organise control of all cost engineering, cost reporting and forecasting
- Ensure the establishment and maintenance of a register of subcontractors and identify all key data in relation to each subcontract
- Ensure selected subcontractors and suppliers are acceptable to the project
- Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and ensure all subcontractor agreements are closely aligned to the project's risk management principals
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Law, Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Business or associated disciplines
- 5-10 years' of relevant commercial experience in the construction and engineering industry, with 2-5 years' experience working as a Contracts Manager
- Contractual management of a variety of project values and complexities
- Negotiation of contractual terms, variations and progress claims
