HomeRepair is a wholly-owned Suncorp company who specialises in residential building repairs.

This position is the first category role in an expanding Procurement Team and will be responsible for paving the way in delivering best practice category management and strategic sourcing, applying process improvements and managing suppliers in close collaboration with operational stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Market research and analytics to continually monitor current supply market position across trade categories
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify and implement the optimum supplier relationships for the organisation using appropriate procurement sourcing processes to negotiate value driven supply agreements
  • Directly contribute to achievement of year on year reductions in Average Repair Cost and Average Repair Life for responsible categories
  • Development of category plans and strategies for assigned trade types
  • Driving collaboration by leading and/or participating in cross-functional teams to identify and execute opportunities to increase value or reduce cost
  • Engage and work collaboratively with leadership teams across the business, to ensure alignment of processes, effective streamlining of trade allocation and to influence outcomes resulting in cost-effective management of contractors
  • Assist Procurement Manager in delivery of trades network engagement/communication plan including regular and ad hoc performance meetings, trade forums and regular written and verbal communications as required.

 To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications ideally in Procurement and/or Supply Chain
  • Experience with managing supplier contracts and performance
  • Knowledge of category strategies, and professional procurement leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude to enable the best outcomes with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Self-direction, be proactive, highly organised and focused on outcomes
