We are a medium-sized, Brisbane-based structural steel fabricator with ongoing projects at various sites around SE Queensland.  We are seeking an experienced health and safety professional to work from our Logan head office.

As Health and Safety Advisor, you will provide expert advice and support to Senior Management, ensuring that policies and procedures are clearly understood and successfully and continuously implemented across multiple work sites.

You will also be responsible for all safety compliance matters and administrative aspects such as the monitoring, revision and implementation of various WH&S Site Management Plans and Policies and the compilation of reports.

The successful candidate will need:

• Certificate 4 in Safety
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Health and Safety role
• The ability to interpret workplace health and safety regulations,  legislation and practices and apply that knowledge in practical terms
• Previous experience in the construction industry would be viewed favourably
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Suite)
• Sound written and verbal communication and collaborative skills
• Self-motivation and the determination to succeed in a sometimes challenging environment
• Enthusiasm, reliability and the desire to take the lead in maintaining  the positive health and safety culture of the company
