Inner City Maintenance is a growing and dynamic privately owned building and construction maintenance company that was founded in 2014. Since inception, Inner City Maintenance has gained a broad base of experience in all types of building maintenance and construction, which involves a wide and varied client base including the government, commercial, industrial and residential markets.
Estimating experience will be advantageous, however not essential, as you will be provided with full training, and ongoing support from our dedicated team.
Opportunity:
We currently have an opportunity for an Estimator to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, in this position you will be working closely with the Project Managers pricing and assisting with proposals in order to secure new business opportunities.
As a successful applicant, you will be required to:
- Develop and prepare conceptual estimates with minimal subcontractor. assistance using limited preliminary design documents/information.
- Creation of scope of works as required for tenders.
- Actively participate in Management and Team meetings
To be successful you must meet the following requirements:
- Graduate and or 1-2 years’ experience in the building and construction industry.
- Demonstrated ability to provide accurate measurements.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings.
- Experience using Excel and a quick learner with computer systems.
- Knowledge of Australian construction process
The successful Candidate will also be:
- A keen self-starter with the ability to juggle requests and workload prioritisation
- Attention to detail, adaptability and flexibility
- Self-motivated, punctual and reliable.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- An active team member.
