Our client is a multi-award winning interior design & fitout company located in Sydney NSW. They have a number of projects in the commercial, residential and industrial sectors and are seeking to appoint a Chief Estimator.
The Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be looking to lead an estimating team. Your main duties will be to prepare, negotiate and review various company contracts, including purchases, sales, and business partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating for high-quality fit-outs, refurbishments, and infrastructure upgrades across commercial, hospitality, education, retail, government, hotels and aged care.
- Leading an established Estimating Team
- Being responsible for accurate BOQS
- Providing estimate preparation plans and schedules to management
- Building excellent relationships with clients, supervisors, and, contractors
Experience & Qualifications:
- 5+ years Related Estimating Experience in Australia
- Excellent Leadership & Communication skills
- Ability to read, understand and organize construction plans and specifications
- Strong Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and database & estimating software (ISQFT, Databuild, Timberline or similar)
