About the role
Application of vermiculite coatings to structural steel and other materials after installation. This is primarily an onsite role for major projects in and around Newcastle and the Hunter, with some workshop based activities from time to time.
Job Tasks & Responsibilities
EFN require a fire protection technician with experience in applying vermiculite fire spray. Duties will include operation and maintenance of fire spray pumps and application tools; operation of equipment may require access to restricted areas and working at heights.
Skills and experience
A self-motivated and forward thinking applicant with a background & experience in applying vermiculite coating is essential, experience in industrial spray painting preferred.
The following are required:
- White card induction
- Work safely at heights
- EWP ticket or yellowcard
- Own reliable transport
Desirable experience:
- Rigging/dogging
- Fabrication & welding
- Structural Steel Installation
Must be able to pass random drug & alcohol testing as per industry standards.
