We have an excellent opportunity for a Fleet Scheduler to join our highly collaborative, capable team responsible for maintaining Australia’s smartest and most reliable passenger trains.
As Fleet Scheduler, you’ll be responsible for the communication and implementation of a Fleet Maintenance Plan to meet the TMP (Technical Maintenance Plan) and Corrective Maintenance requirements for Downers passenger fleets. This position is responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources to ensure the maintenance activities result in minimum downtime and maximum productivity whilst ensuring compliance with the regulatory safety standards.
You’ll be responsible for collating information in respect to all customers’ requirements (Train Operations), depot resources (people and materials), and depot infrastructure and available down time of T&RS so as to produce daily and short term plans for the shift by shift production workloads.
About you:
- Highly organised and detail orientated.
- Proven experience managing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and delivering to agreed deadlines.
- Ability to work as a collaborative team member and autonomously when required
- Operational administration experience within a production or maintenance environment
- Ability to work under pressure, priorities and meet deadlines
- Proven work scheduling and planning experience in a heavy asset engineering environment with working knowledge of fleet maintenance requirements in a rail environment (preferred)
- High Level computer skills including significant experience with Microsoft Office and proficient use of Primavera P6 (preferred)
- Proven ability for operational level interfacing with tradespeople and supervisors
- Demonstrated planning, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop solutions
- High Level communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
