Currently looking for a Contracts Engineer to be based in the Perth office for a 12 month assignment, providing contracts and procurement support to Corporate functions on various scopes as assigned.
The role is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders, award & execution, post award contract management and close out of contracts along with administrative support to the team related to process, procedure and template improvements and subsequent implementation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide advice to non-Contracts and Procurement personnel on compliance with the C&P Processes
- Conduct prequalification, ITT preparation, issue, receipt, opening and comprehensive assessment of tender submissions while delivering to stakeholder schedule expectations.
- Ensure Australian Industry Participation objectives are considered and implemented in all contracting and procurement activities
- Negotiation of tender qualifications and exceptions during evaluation
- Preparation of documents for presentation to Contracts Committee and JVP approval committees
- Assisting with the administration of Contract Committee meetings, including minute taking document management and action tracking, as required.
- Finalise award, execution and implementation of new Contracts and participate in ongoing post award management of Contracts.
- Ensure Contract Variations and Contract Claims are identified early and managed
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years Contracts & Procurement experience, preferably in oil and gas industry
- CIPS or equivalent qualification in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
- Experience in the development and updates of C&P processes, procedures and organisational templates
- Exposure to obtaining complex JOA approval obligations
- MS office suite, with sound capabilities in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- SAP skills (MM module) – Desirable
- Contractor Management System experience (Procon or similar)
- Understanding of local content requirements in the contracting process
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Enthusiastic, efficient and the ability to prioritise and multi-task
