The role & client
As a National Developer with a market capitalisation of over $600 Million dollars this is a rare opportunity to move into Development Management. Recognised as a leading Developer in the Residential & Age Care market my client is looking for an ambitious Client Side Project Manager, or existing ADM with residential construction experience.
As an up and coming Client Side professional, or existing ADM you want the responsibility to the deliver concurrent projects and have the opportunity to step up into a stand alone position. You will be supported by a Senior Development Manager and have a genuine opportunity to grow with the business being involved in the full development life-cycle.
The Developer has a low staff turnover and all Senior Management have been promoted from within due to a strategy for organic growth. Demonstrating a rewarding culture you will receive training, an opportunity to take on project accountability and the platform to achieve career progression.
The Development team is run lean like a traditional Developer and they oversee greenfield and brownfield sites from acquisition through to delivery. The company have a 'build it once, build it right' mentality to ensure the companies brand is maintained as an industry leader. The business is looking for someone with a good grounding in the property industry, but more importantly they are looking for a driven individual who is passionate and hungry to learn.
As the Assistant Development Manager your duties will include, but not limited to:
- Assisting in the acquisition and feasibility of developments to ensure they are set up for success in line with company targets.
- Assisting in preparing and lodging planning applications with council to ensure approvals are met.
- Assist in coordinating design and appointing external consultants.
- Assisting the marketing and sales teams.
- Financial management and reporting.
- Project management and supervision of development delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary Qualified in a relevant Property or Construction related degree.
- You will ideally have 18 months client side experience.
- Have an understanding of residential staging and design.
- Have an understanding and experience of construction cost and contracts.
- You will have strong analytical and problem solving ability.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships with all associated stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong computer literacy.
- You will have a positive attitude and enjoy working in a team environment.
