Pacific Windows is a well-established windows and door company for the commercial sector. Currently we are looking for a full-time Junior Estimator/Quantity Survior to join our team based at Port Melbourne, VIC.
The Successful Candidate will possess the following skills and attributes for the job role:
-Understanding of Australian Windows System and applicable Australian Standards
-Able to interpret architectural plans, drawing and specifications
-Preparing take-offs and reviewing quotes
-Assisting Construction Managers, Architects and surveyors in planning and organization
-Able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
-Know how to use Estimating Software,such as Bluebeam, CAD
-Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
-Mandarins Speaking Background is strongly preferable
-High Attention to detail
-Good Work Ethic
-Able to work within a small team environment
-Flexible approach and attitude towards multi-tasking
-Prior Experience within window and door industry
This role requires a high level of communication in quoting and estimating jobs in the glass and aluminium industry. Equally important is the ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and contractors and to effectively hand over successful jobs to the project managers.
Working closely with the Director, you will be responsible for tendering on projects, looking at costing of labour and materials, attending post tender meetings, assisting with price negotiation from suppliers and interpret and accurately take-off construction drawings and specifications.
This role is primarily required to quote work in the commercial glazing sector with the capability of lending their expertise to our Plastering division.
