To ensure the safe, consistent and efficient operation of our mobile equipment fleet across the CPB Contractors Victorian / South Australian and Tasmanian areas of operation.

The role comprises of being responsible for:

  • Ensure consistent processes are implemented for mobile equipment on all sites for the following:
    • Maintenance planning
    • Safety and Environment e.g.  WAH, Tyre Changing, Lifting Equipment, Lock out procedures, etc.
  • Provide advice and service to Plant Managers and/or Project Managers on the financial and physical performance of the plant and equipment on their site
  • Provide technical leadership to resolve specific maintenance issues with equipment items as required
  • Ensure Mandatory inspections on equipment and work area are carried out as per relevant legislation and CPB Policies, and ensure adequate stock holding is maintained to carry out all repairs and services as per schedule
  • Holding regular tool box meetings and daily pre- starts, maintaining accurate records
  • Generate work orders, work schedules through the CPB Maintenance Management System (JDE) and allocate resources to complete the work schedule within time and Budget and ensure the accurate allocation of expenditure in conjunction with plant budgets
  • Implement planned maintenance systems to ensure CPB requirements are satisfied
  • Ensure all Maintenance carried out on all CPB equipment is recorded through the Maintenance Management System and unit folders are current.

 

Candidate Requirements:

The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a workshop and/or construction environment with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire subordinates.
  • Solid understanding of WHS principles and their practical application through the use and development of safety management plans, risk assessments, safe work method statements, etc.
  • High level organisation skills with significant logistical experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in the assessment of condition of plant, equipment, light vehicles and trucks.
  • Experience with an asset management system from the perspectives of recording and allocation of R & M costs, maintenance planning and tracking of assets.
