Hays Trades and Labour are seeking experienced machine operators for multiple projects in the ACT.
Your new company
Hays are partnering with a national civil contractor with several major projects in the ACT. These projects are well underway and the client is seeking experienced machine operators to start immediately.
Your new role
In this casual full time position, there is a huge focus on doing the job once and doing it right. You will be working alongside an experienced spotter doing mainly final trim work. You will also be expected to do bulk earthworks and jump down from the plant and give the guys on the ground a hand when required. Due to the tight timeframe of the project, there is plenty of overtime available.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced operator on a variety of plant and machinery. You will have VOC’s or tickets on the plant that you operate. You will have done at least a year of detailed final trim work and bulk earthworks. Working to laser levels and GPS is a must. You will also need an asbestos awareness, oh&s white card to be considered for this role. A working at heights card would be an advantage but is not essential.
What you'll get in return
In return you will be paid weekly with above award wages. You will also gain contract work with a large national contractor with opportunities to go onto their books. This opens up the possibility of more training and possible promotions here or interstate.
