About the Role:
With the continued success and diversification of our business, they are seeking to appoint a Civil Project Manager / Estimator to join our fast-growing civil construction business based in Sydney. Working closely with the Senior Management and the Estimating team.
Duties:
- Preparation of monthly progress claims.
- Create, implement and maintain PMP's.
- Collaborate with project foreman and leading hands for daily and weekly project activities.
- Planning and ordering of materials and resources for projects.
- Contract administration and EOT claims
- Preparation and maintenance of project programs.
- Use of first principles to develop and coordinate accurate estimates for civil projects.
- Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, production times etc.
- Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors.
- Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
- Liaise with clients and suppliers to obtain information and calculate costs.
- Participate in tender reviews with Senior Management.
- Prepare tender submission documentation & Tender Programs.
- Responsible for ensuring that the requirements of the Civilcraft Management Systems (CMS) & Procedures are appropriately implemented and followed by Civilcraft staff.
- Assisting with safety, environmental and quality audits and inspections, and actively participating in systems changes and improvements.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Civil Project Manager / Estimator overseeing multiple processes and resources.
- Experience of 7+ years in a Civil Construction or Project environment.
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering
- Experience pricing civil works
- Familiarity with financial and project management principles
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to liaise confidently with key stake-holders.
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Bid management experience will be beneficial but not essential
