The Company
My client is a well-established Commercial and Retail Fit out Construction business based in Melbourne. Boasting an excellent culture and impressive innovations, my client is now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team.
The Role
As the Project Manager, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Manage installation of new projects from the sales handover process to final handover to client;
- Managing supplier delivery
- Deliver projects on time and on budget
- Manage internal and external resources
- Deliver 'best in industry experience'
- Continuous improvement in company process and procedures
The Candidate
To be successful in securing this exciting opportunity, you as the candidate must/have:
- 5 years related work experience in the construction industry, preferably in Commercial/Retail Fit Out
- Be exceptionally organised with an eye for detail
- Fantastic communication skills – ability to engage stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
- Progress and budget reporting – managing variations and scope changes
- Manage risk reviews and status updates – ensuring project cost and associated risks are managed appropriately
- Ensure that the work is carried out in line with clearly defined procedures and guidelines, and work in a well-organised manner.
- Coordinate and manage your installation projects
- Proactively support a safe working environment for all employees
- Development of SWMS & Quality Management procedures
- Perform job site audits and quality control activities
- Contracts administration and cost management
- Close out jobs by ensuring that all costs have been correctly applied
- Have the ability to read & interpret construction drawings/plans
- Strong IT skills and AutoCAD or similar experience an advantage
- Working knowledge of MS Project (or Jobpac/Procore)
