Epoca Constructions Pty Ltd is a mid-tier, diversified construction group engaged in a planned, quality driven expansion campaign!
This roles objective is to support the construction teams & business such that it achieves the Companies objectives with respect to Safety and the Environment.
The business operates within an audited & 3rd party accredited Integrated Management System, covering all aspects of Safety, Quality & the Environment. The fully integrated management system provides robust policies and procedures that govern the business and projects delivery.
Duties will include:
- Producing and implementation of Risk Assessments, Job Safety and Environmental Analyses and other related tools such as training packages, and so on;
- Complete site surveillance audits;
- Ensure staff and sub-contractors are properly instructed and supervised in necessary WHS procedures, use of safety equipment and personal protective clothing, and are warned of particular hazards/aspects and how to avoid, eliminate or minimise them;
- Assist teams to implement the Company's HSEQ Policies and Management System;
- Communicate relevant HSEQ Documentation, including toolbox talks / topics and Safety / Environmental Alerts;
- Assist in administering and coordinating HSEQ Data Management System, including data entry, and generation of reports as per business requirements;
- Conduct regular field visits to various locations and assist technicians incorporate local legislation and internal procedures into everyday work situations;
- Assist in the investigation and management of incidents or near misses
Ideally, the applicant should have the following skill set:
- Ability to lead and set the standard!
- Minimum Cert IV in OH&S
- Exposure to Road, Rail & Bridge Projects
- A strong initiative & belief in team work
- Senior First Aid certificate
- Understanding of Traffic management principles
- At least 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of latest OH&S legislation
- Experience working within the civil construction environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage deadlines
- Time management skills
- Excellent communication & problem solving skills
