The Pedestrian Bridge Project Manager is a key role in the Queen's Wharf Brisbane project team. The position will be responsible for oversight of the Neville Bonner Bridge project delivery from ECI through to commissioning. With a project of such high-profile exposure, the role will work closely with the project development team, along with external stakeholders including Brisbane City Council, Brisbane River Harbour Master and Southbank Corporation.
This opportunity will appeal to an experienced infrastructure professional interested in leading the delivery of a major legacy project on the Brisbane landscape, delivering an ‘iconic’ pedestrian bridge that will span the Brisbane River and deliver a landmark artistic link between the Queens Wharf development and to Southbank Parklands and the Arts & Entertainment Precinct.
We are seeking the following relevant experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience with public infrastructure projects
- Must be able to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner to Senior Management
- Must be detail-orientated, extremely organized, and have strong presentation skills
- Have strong risk assessment, negotiation and problem resolution skills
- Excellent task management, organization and team collaboration skills
- Strong on program and cost management / reporting
Background:
- Degree or Masters qualifications in Civil/ Structural Engineering
- Past experience delivering pedestrian / single span bridge projects
- Project delivery of major public infrastructure
This client-side role will be a crucial link between consultants, the main contractor, Statutory Authorities, the Public and other key project stakeholders and will require an experienced individual who possesses both the technical knowledge of delivering a complex piece of infrastructure, in addition to the ability to successfully navigate negotiations through each stage of the process.
