Grimbos Building Surveyors is a boutique and energetic company located in Fitzroy. The company provides BCA Consultancy and Services to all sectors and classes including multi and high rise residential buildings, retail & hospitality fit-outs, government projects, educational and commercial developments.
Director and Registered Building Surveyor, John Grimbos, maintains 22 plus years' experience, providing a clear understanding and knowledge of the industry. Additionally, John maintains a strong business acumen, affording him the ability to manage a successful and viable business.
Working with and alongside the "entertaining" team of only 12 staff members, applicants will be afforded the opportunity to develop and grow; both personally and professionally, with career progression opportunities and mentorship.
With no KPIs or targets to meet, Grimbos Building Surveyors, provides flexibility and a work/life balance, including team bonding events, annual getaways and an overall enjoyable working environment.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assessment and review of drawings for Building Permit issue, Certifications and Occupancy Permits
- Undertake Essential Safety Measure audits and reports
- Provide regulatory BCA consultancy and assessments
- Review documentation and prescribed forms
- Liaise with and prepare applications to Relevant Authorities
- Carry out and/or arrange inspections
- Actively solicit new clients
- Actively participate in company marketing / branding
Skills & Experience
With a dynamic and evolving working environment, applicants must retain ambition, confidence, and proficiency in all areas of Building Code Consultancy.
The successful Registered Building Surveyor will be required to autonomously manage small to medium sized projects from commencement to completion; with focus on attention to detail and client relationships.
Applicants must also maintain the ability to work as a team and independently, possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail and efficiency to ensure client expectations are met within the required outcome and timeframe.
- Experience in the private sector
- Technical knowledge in all classes and types of buildings.
- Registered Building Surveyor (BS-U)
