THE POSITION:
We are a growing business based Queensland, currently seeking the expertise of a skilled Project Manager / Site Supervisor for a dual role on a project we have in Scone.
Currently, the role is only a contract role approximately 16 weeks however after recent success in the area this could easily move into a fulltime position.
This role will see you working closely with the General Manager and Construction Manager remotely.
Our team will value your ability to quickly identify key areas for improvement and your ability to implement these in a streamlined manner.
Key Duties:
- Plans – Preparation of Project Plans, Setting up of project calendars, controls / monitoring tools, general running of projects
- Site – responsible for managing change/variations, risks/opportunities the project organizational structure
- Contract Administration–ensure all contracts are setup and maintained
- Project Coordination – stakeholder management including; clients, architect, subcontractor coordination, site requirements, on time delivery schedules etc.
- Reporting - regular reporting on all costs, progress and variations.
- Management – ensure tight control for projects to be delivered on-time and on budget.
This is a business critical role and as such the successful candidate must have experience in a similar position within the construction sector. Your success will be determined by your ability to manage your time effectively in a results-based environment. With a level head, you will remain calm under pressure and have the ability to delegate and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
WHAT YOU BRING:
You are currently a Project Manager or Site Supervisor with experience in the construction industry (or similar construction) and fully understand this role and its requirements.
Key Experience Required:
- Project Management Experience
- Steel manufacturing industry or steel construction ideal
- Advanced computer and administration skills
- Broad understanding of construction, commercial and residential industry
- Genuine interest in growing your career within the construction industry.
- Very strong communication skills across a broad range of professionals, from trades/sub-contractors through to architects and engineers.
- Strong skills in a construction management software system.
