We’re looking for our newest HSE Officer to join our team based out of our Altona Head Office. Working within a tight knit team, you’ll support our group on all HSE matters along with developing and delivering initiatives that align with our HSE plan.

‘A week in the life of your new role’ –

• Providing HSE support to our broader group and actioning items as detailed in the HSE plan and associated business support tasks
• Developing and maintaining a strong rapport with Burbank employees, contractors and suppliers
• Keeping abreast of HSE regulatory matters and updating relevant stakeholders
• Assisting in the preparation and development of Burbank HSE policies and strategy
• Promoting the highest of standards of HSE management and awareness amongst staff, clients, contractors and suppliers
• Coordinating and/or conducting training for staff and contractors
• Working closely with business units to resolve internal and client queries

What you’ll need to be successful in the role –

• Industry experience in environment or natural resource management with a minimum cert IV in OHS along with relevant tertiary qualifications
• An understanding of construction methods including the risks and hazards
• An ability to interpret legislation and regulations together with policy and procedure
• An ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organisation
• Current Australian drivers licence (company vehicle is provided)
