The Role

Apia is a leader in the insurance industry and has a well-earned reputation for providing outstanding customer service.  Apia currently has vacancies available in several of our regional branches, creating exciting career opportunities for people with previous customer service & sales experience. This position is located in our Mornington branch.

No Insurance Experience Necessary but would be an advantage

We are looking for people with a strong sales focus and a real interest in providing superior levels of customer service to join our successful, dynamic team.

We offer a wide range of general insurance products including home, car, caravan, boat, and travel insurance. These roles incorporate a wide variety of insurance related calls from new and existing customers, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and maximising sales opportunities.

The Requirements:

  • A desire to work in a sales environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Previous call centre experience would be highly regarded
  • An ability to actively engage with over 50's at events that Apia participates in
  • Enthusiasm, drive and dedication to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

To be successful in this position you will ideally have previous experience in a sales within financial services, and have demonstrated a 'can-do' attitude, able to quickly build rapport with your outstanding communication (both written and verbal), analytical and stakeholder management skills.
