This is an outstanding opportunity to join a Government department in a customer service officer role. Working in a supportive and vibrant team environment based in Western Sydney CBD you'll be the first point of contact for in-bound enquiries regarding financial enquiries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to enter into the public sector, where you will receive first class training and support throughout your career with the organisation.

Your new role

As a customer claims specialist, you'll work in an inbound contact centre environment and be responsible for:

  • Handling a variety of queries from customers relating to worker claims, claim enquiries and lodgement of claims
  • Ensuring that you are building strong relationships with customers and showing empathy and understanding where required
  • Explanation of policies and procedures to ensure that the customer understands the claim procedures and to provide a service that goes above and beyond what is expected.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to build or expand their knowledge of the insurance and claims industry, where they will have support and on-going training with potential to gain themselves a permanent position later on.

What you'll need to succeed

  • We are open and flexible on experience as full training is provided on commencement of the role
  • Motivated and energetic individuals who demonstrate a positive personality with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively
  • Passionate about people and want to go above and beyond for the customer
  • Flexibility with their working hours as it will be a 7am-7pm rotating roster working up to 8 hours a day
