About the business and the role

We are looking for some one to join our Social Enterprise. If you are interested in working for a company that invests in the community, encourages community volunteering, has a Bcorp certification and is committed to making a difference in our local communities then we want to hear from you.

We aim to do things differently at BDCU and making our traditional banking centres into a destination centre known as 'The Collective' is just one example. The Collective Centres are designed to connect local businesses, community groups and residents to a centre that offers meeting rooms, co work stations, business showcase facilities, café where applicable and of course BDCU's banking services.

We have plans to upgrade our Bowral centre in the near future and are therefore looking for the right person to fill a Destination Manager's role in Bowral. We are looking for someone that has proven experience in building strong community relationships, has a desire to personally make the Bowral community better and lead our team to success.

Job tasks and responsibilities;

  • Drive shared value programs in your centre, including Apprentice/Trainee programs and our My Community Program, taking ownership of relationships with multiple community partners.
  • Build strong relationships with local business owners and community groups to ensure the ongoing success of your destination centre (Collective Centre).
  • Build and foster a community culture for all participants in the Co.Workspace environment, ensuring that social and business events are valued events for business and community.
  • Actively participate in and generate ideas/concepts for improved social enterprise activities conducted by BDCU.
  • Reward and recognize achievements of your team, and maintain a productive, safe and harmonious team environment.
  • Lead a successful team, measured by key skill competencies of each team member, staff attendance benchmarks and commitment to serving our Members as recorded in Member survey.
  • Implement a business plan that supports the Co.Workspace and BDCU Alliance Bank's strategic objectives for the region.
  • Manage the Co.Workspace, including the booking and payments, while connecting members of the Co.Workspace to BDCU Alliance Bank through building relationships and opening communication channels.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to manage events, provide social media content and present the Collective Centre to the highest retail standards (eg. merchandise displays, business showcases etc.)

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience in providing needs-based solutions and excellent Customer Service.
  • Experience in building engagement and dealing effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven project management skills, providing evidence of delivering on time and on budget.
  • Proven experience in management of staff and premises.
  • Banking experience would be a plus, however training can be provided.
