GTRF Services Analyst, Guarantees Global Trade and Receivables Finance - SydneyThe role requires you to be a technical expert for the Guarantees business with the ability to liaise directly with external customers, LGA and correspondent banks to resolve issues and negotiate guarantee texts and structures ensuring operational risk is managed appropriately and customer’s expectations are met. You must be organised, a team player, possess a high level of interpersonal skills, accuracy, commonsense and initiative.
Reporting to the Manager Guarantees, GTRF, your key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and approving Guarantee and standby letters of credit texts in accordance with FIM, policy requirements, the approved legal guidance, approved delegation and international rules, including liaising with LGA, customers, offshore banks and Relationship Managers.
- Providing expert guidance and opinion regarding guarantee and standby DC structures, including operational guidance for facility structures to guarantees staff
- Establish and grow relationships with both the internal customers groups and key external customers.
- Provide training and technical support to staff, customers and relationship managers, including attending marketing calls.
- Support the management team to actively grow technical knowledge and expertise including being responsible for the growth of expertise and knowledge within the guarantees team.
Experience required:
- Experience in an operational/technical role involving guarantees, standby DCs and preferable trade finance products.
- Expert knowledge of the technical requirements of guarantees and standbys including URDG758, ISP98 and preferably UCP600.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge and experience to solve problems and recommend solutions, including liaison with key external customers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Motivated, proactive and flexible.
- An eye for detail and a high degree of accuracy.
