Exciting Operational Risk opportunity in a global bank in a small team offering broad banking risk exposure
Your new company
This company are a global bank based in Sydney CBD and have a large corporate and institutional client base.
Your new role
In your new role you will be responsible for supporting delivery of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) focusing on self‐ inspection and control assurance activities. Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Support delivery of the Operational Risk Management Framework through the delivery of the annual Self‐Inspection and Controls Assurance Program
- Support Risk Profile maintenance such as tying back control weaknesses found by assurance activities to risk profile and ensure businesses and support functions are aware of such changes
- Track and monitor countermeasures and ensure timeliness of the implementation of implemented recommendations to mitigate risk
- Proactively plan, execute and report self‐inspection and control assurance activities
- Work with the business or support functions to ensure that the countermeasures are fit for purpose and that the controls are designed and performing effectively
- Assess the impact of new or changes to internal polices and frameworks and communicate to
business
What you'll need to succeed
- A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Law, or Finance
- 3 year’s operational risk experience in banking or financial services
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with a wide array of stakeholders with excellent written and spoken communication skills
