Role Location: Melbourne VIC
Role Type: Permanent Role
Reporting to the Head of Group Services Assurance, you are responsible for helping to embed the Operational Risk Framework (ORMMF) and risk reporting within Group Services (GS) and identifying control and process weaknesses focussing primarily on Financial Intelligence Operations and secondarily on Payments and Reconciliations.
Also, you will instil an innovative approach to risk management, balancing risk with a commercial appreciation for the growth objectives of GS. This will be achieved through embedding a risk and quality perspective and discipline in key business initiatives and ongoing management and assessment of compliance and regulatory matters.
Your role will assist in implementing a sound Risk culture within GS and also drive a quality and continuous improvement culture across the group lines of business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Sound knowledge of Sanctions and AML key processes, systems and appropriate risks and controls and Extensive knowledge on Economic and Trade Sanctions (ETS) Policy & Anti Money Laundering/Counter Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) Policy and its requirements
- Knowledge of banking practices, domestic clearing services, relevant legislation, statutory and regulatory requirements
- Practical knowledge of operating risk, quality and compliance policies and procedures
- Strong Relationship Management skills
- Strong decision making and problem solving capability
- Strong interpersonal and influencing and negotiation skills
