The Australian Medical Association Financial Services division is seeking to appoint a Paraplanner / Adviser Assistant to its team based at the head office in Nedlands.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of the office. The Paraplanner/Adviser Assistant must be able to work effectively with other staff members, clients, and the Advisors.
Key Responsibilities and Activities include:
• Preparing compliant SOA and ROA's
• Providing research and assisting Advisers with strategy development
• Database management (ensure system data feeds are correct including investment units/fees)
• Preparing client review documentation
• Managing client queries
• Liaising with clients and product providers
• Managing the advice process for clients insurance/ superannuation/investments
• Coordinates and prepares for clients' meeting
• Prepare meeting notes, resulting tasks, and timelines for completion
• Processing new business applications
• Following up on the processing of applications to completion
• Maintaining compliance requirements and documentation
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
• Two years + experience within the financial planning sector in a similar role
• RG 146 compliant or working towards completion of Diploma in Financial Planning
• Excellent knowledge of the insurance, superannuation and investment and regulations
• Experience in working with Xplan including - Xtools, Portfolio, Wealth Solver and Risk Researcher
• Excellent attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Highly effective communication and liaison skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and operate on tight deadlines
