The Senior Associate Risk Performance plays a significant role in enabling NAB to ‘Back the Bold who move Australia forward’, by executing strategic risk oversight activities, driving the performance improvement agenda and supporting transformational activities for the Risk division.
What you’ll be doing
The Senior Associate is accountable for executing against the Risk Performance team mandate to support the NAB RISK PLAN through one of three mechanisms:
- Thematic Risk Reviews including both enterprise-wide reviews and more targeted deep dive reviews
- Risk & Compliance Assessments including continuous monitoring and advice activities evaluating adequacy and quality of risk profiles, risk assessments, controls, key indicators and actions
- Risk Projects including building risk management capability and evolving the maturity of the control environment
Key responsibilities include:
- Execute risk reviews including identify issues and root causes, develop solution to enhance management of risk and uplift controls, and formulate and report findings
- Provide technical input, advice and thought leadership into the teams activities
- Engage and influence including present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
What you’ll bring
Tertiary and/or post tertiary qualified in Finance or related field, you are an experienced professional, with proven experience working in Risk Management in a large complex corporate environment. You can also demonstrate:
- Outstanding communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Substantial experience in providing risk management advice and managing stakeholder engagement, preferably within financial services
- Analytical and problem solving skills
