The FPA are now looking for an experienced Professional Practice Manager to join the dedicated team.  Located in the CBD, this new role will require you to deliver exceptional support services and best practice guidance to the FPA’s 300 Professional Practices and ensure compliance of licensees who participate in the professional partner program.

 

What is an FPA Professional Practice?

 

An FPA Professional Practice is a financial planning practice that demonstrates the highest professional and ethical standards through adherence to the FPA Code of Professional Practice. The Professional practice stands apart as a role model for financial planning in the community. Strict standards are required to become an FPA Professional Practice including a requirement to provide quality financial planning advice and services that meet Best practice Standards as set by the FPA.

What we would like you to do

  • Bring your experience as a financial planner and/or practice principal/owner to help support each of the 300 Professional Practices to ensure they maintain the highest standards in delivering financial planning advice and services to their clients.
  • Review, develop and improve all aspects of the Professional Practice program
  • Analyse and provide the rest of the organisation insights into Professional Practice and Professional Partner trends.
  • Proactively engage with Professional Practices and Professional Partners and potential Partner planning businesses to drive retention and attract new Professional Practices. Lead with strong knowledge in financial planning best practice Standards.
  • Develop and implement advice reviews and best practice guidance support for the 300 Professional Practices.
  • Work closely with and provide insight to Professional Practice and Professional Partner specific marketing and communications.
  • Manage processing of Professional Practice and Professional Partner applications, agreements and renewal payments where applicable.
  • Allocate, monitor and report on work flows within the team to ensure optimal service and efficiency.
  • Improve morale and productivity through positive communication, customer service and leadership.
  • Liaise with suppliers, members, FPA departments, Committees and Management as required.

 

Skills that we would like to see

  • Excellent understanding and experience of a financial planning practice.
  • Relevant experience in financial planning compliance and/or implementing best practice advice processes.
  • Relevant experience in membership attraction and retention preferably for a professional Association.
  • Business or Practice development experience where developing and maintaining relationships with members (practices) and potential members (practices) to drive growth has been your focus.
  • Excellent relationship building, customer service and management skills.
  • Communication skills so as to build relationships and focus the message.
  • High attention to detail.
  • An analytical data driven approach to identifying improvements.
  • Project management
  • Budget management
