Statewide Super is the largest and leading South Australian & Northern Territory not-for-profit Industry Superannuation Fund providing expert superannuation advice to over 140,000 members.  With a focus on creating significant growth, we are looking for an experienced Member Adviser to join our Darwin office and assist us with building member engagement and advice services across the Northern Territory, as well as grow our member footprint.

Reporting to our Business Development Manager – NT, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with the Business Development Manager – Northern Territory to meet the advice needs of members across a range of employers.
  • Scheduling and conducting workplace member appointments with the expectation to provide general and/or quality scaled (intra-fund) advice.
  • Achieving set objectives relating to the number of outbound calls, appointments, servicing standards and lead generation for Financial Planning appointments.
  • Ensuring the provision of services are consistent with values of appropriate, needs based cross-selling, up-selling and member retention, to improve member usage of Statewide Super products and services.
  • Ensuring compliance against quality advice outcomes and practices working within all Regulatory and Licensee requirements, business rules, policies and administrative requirements.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning;
  • a Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience;
  • a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the superannuation or financial sectors;
  • professional communication skills, including being confident communicating with people from “all walks of life” and providing advice to members face-to-face and via phone; and
  • sound product and industry knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with members at all levels.

  • an exceptional communicator with natural charisma;
  • resourceful and innovative with excellent problem solving skills;
  • a self-starter, capable of working autonomously, as well as a great team player;
  • experienced in business development and passionate about growing new business;
  • organised, with a capacity to follow through;
  • capable of fostering strong relationships and inspiring confidence and trust in others;
  • keen to develop your professional expertise and commercial acumen.
