About the role

The Relationship Manager (RM) is the customer advocate of a portfolio of clients which generate a financial return that is in line with ABAL's Strategy, Risk Appetite and business plans, via:-

  • Retention of existing plus origination of new clients, in line with ABAL's Strategy and Risk Appetite
  • Sales of a range of ABAL's products and services which maximises the financial return opportunity from the clients within the RM's designated portfolio
  • Delivery of a level of service that meets/exceeds what the client expects
  • Development of a deep understanding of clients within the defined portfolio to support the process of optimal risk/reward decision making.

Business Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  •  Tertiary qualified in business/accounting/marketing or equivalent
  •  Minimum five years financial services industry experience
  •  Commercial Relationship Manager experience, particularly focusing on SMEs
  •  Refined business and commercial acumen
  •  Strong sales and negotiation demonstrable track record.
  •  Strong problem solving skills and lateral thinking ability
