About the role and location

Murrumbeena is located 13kms east of Melbourne's CBD close to Chadstone Shopping Centre. The Murrumbeena Community Bank® branch is looking for a Customer Relationship Manager to join the team. We are looking for someone who has lending experience and is looking at making a move in to leadership in the near future. This is a great opportunity to further develop skills in both people leadership and external business development. There is potential for the successful candidate to transition in to the branch manager position.

As a Customer Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for the success of our customers via the provision of relevant products and services that truly meet their financial and wealth needs. You will play an integral part in driving growth via business development activities and processing and assessing loans. In addition, you will help to actively engage the team to ensure their continued growth in the lending space; uplifting their capability through effective training and coaching covering relationship focussed conversations, sales and referral skills and development of product knowledge.

This is a full time permanent position. 

 

About you

We are looking for a motivated person who isn’t afraid to ask for the business, has a passion for lending and thrives on developing and mentoring a team. Ideally you will:

  • Display the people skills to succeed in a leadership and mentoring role
  • Have experience in consumer lending by assisting new and existing customers through the home loan process and manage the deal through to settlement and beyond
  • Be experienced in branch operations, risk and compliance to effectively manage the day to day needs of a branch
  • Drive business growth through customer acquisition and quality referrals
  • Be a team player; who works collaboratively with the wider team to achieve goals
  • Have a demonstrated history of achieving strong sales results
  • Demonstrate highly developed relationship building skills
  • Effectively communicate with new and existing customers face to face and over the phone
  • Have lending and insurance accreditation – advantageous but not essential
  • Be willing to be involved with local community engagement activities
