About the business
We are a close knit and busy financial planning team who look after our loyal clients by providing them with holistic financial advice. Our business has been operating in Como for more than 15 years.We have two principal advisers and 5 support staff who work collaboratively to give our clients a great advice experience. Our team is very family oriented and our clients are very easy to deal with and appreciative of our advice and assistance, which makes it a great place to work. Free parking is also provided.
About the role
Key Duties:
- Prepare financial modelling in XPLAN for complex cashflow and retirement scenarios to develop comprehensive strategies to help clients achieve their goals and objectives.
- As most SOAs will be outsourced to external paraplanners, prepare paraplanning request forms, quotes and research for SOA instructions.
- Ensure that the content of SOAs is consistent, accurate and meets current service and regulatory requirements.
- Apply technical knowledge, research and technical writing skills in the preparation of SOAs to ensure they are written in a professional manner that can be easily understood by customers.
- Implementation of advice recommendations in conjunction with administration staff within the practice.
- Liaise with clients where required
- Maintain compliance requirements and documentation

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Experience in the paraplanning/financial planning environment including strong XPLAN skills
- Sound knowledge of the advice process
- Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and good level of technical knowledge
- Attention to detail and passion to produce quality advice which is accurate and timely
- Good time management, multi-tasking and organisational skills
- Strong analytical skills, drive and initiative
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
