Head of Credit opportunity with one of the fastest growing publicly-listed Fintech companies in Australia. Our client is a non-bank lender and provider of Equipment Finance solutions in the hospitality and transport / logistics segments.
This is a newly created position that will oversee the Credit Management function and lead a team of 15 credit analysts, reporting to the Chief Operations Officer.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned credit professional, with a commercial mindset, who can lead and enhance the capability of the credit function. Equipment finance expertise essential.

The successful candidate will be required to hit the ground running and provide structure, systems, leadership and enhance the capability of our people as well as further improve the culture. Key responsibilities include:
- Member of Credit Committee;
- Oversee the lending process, from evaluating clients’ creditworthiness to approving or rejecting loan requests;
- Create credit scoring models to predict risks;
- Approve or reject loan requests based on credibility and potential revenue and losses;
- Calculate and set payment terms;
- Negotiate loan terms with clients;
- Develop, review and update credit policies/procedures, implement incremental improvements;
- Provide review and approval of large deals >$300k;
The Head of Credit will report to the Chief Operations Officer and will be supported by Team Leaders for the Transport / Logistics and Hospitality segments.
It is critical that the candidate is an accomplished leader and people manager who is able to set / monitor work goals for employees and provide coaching / development / mentoring.
The candidate selection process will require successful completion of psychometric testing.
