About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Advice, the Team Leader will be responsible for managing a team of strategic and workplace financial advisers and support staff, ensuring that the team achieves its stated client, revenue and related objectives. In addition, the key responsibilities will include:  
  • Developing and overseeing new opportunities to grow the business with increased penetration of our client base, new referrals, and a tighter sales management program across helpline, workplace and strategic financial advice
  • Managing and building an on-going book of clients
  • Managing the day to day operations of the team and allocating resources effectively and fairly
  • Ensuring an appropriate compliance and risk management culture by managing the requirements of our authorised representatives and representatives with zero tolerance for compliance breaches
  • Proactively maintain and enhance the profile of Mercer Financial Advice internally within Mercer and externally within the industry to generate new business for the team and practice
About You:
We seek a highly motivated experienced Senior Financial Adviser looking to expand their personal skills and opportunities. Additionally, you will need to have: 
  • A CFP or related degree in business, accounting, financial service
  • Strong management and leadership skills along with coaching and mentoring capabilities
  • Superior verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes at all levels within the team
  • Prior people management experience will be highly regarded
