About this opportunity

We are looking for a candidate to join the Credit Support team on a 6 Month Contract. The credit officer will be integral to the assessment process and take responsibility for the following up and certification of outstanding loan conditions and reworks for all new loan applications. The credit officer will assist the Credit Assessment team in the finalisation of approvals when all outstanding conditions and requirements have been met in accordance with bank policy and procedure. The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of retail lending practice, products, valuations, mortgage insurance and regulatory requirements. Restricted Delegated Lending Authorities will be required in order to complete sign off of valuations and formalise approvals. 

Main responsibilities

• Follow up and satisfy outstanding loan conditions in line with DLA and bank policy
• Review and acceptance of property valuations
• Finalisation of LMI
• Quality control to avoid rework post approval
• Timely and professional response to all incoming emails,
• and phone calls
• Outbound calls in line with quality standards to customers,
• brokers and stakeholders
• Ensure all follow up is completed in a timely manner
• Support and training to assist team development as required
• Identification and implementation of continuous improvements to improve efficiency, quality and customer experience
• Positive approach in relation to change and improvement

• HSC or equivalent
• MS Office skills
• 1-3 years banking/finance experience
• Customer Service experience
• Team player
• Strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail 
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendors
• Responsive to change
• Minimum typing speed
