OFX is looking for an experienced Settlements Officer to facilitate the day to day processing of client inward and outward funds in accordance with company policy and dealer requirements. Respond to day to day enquiries from locally based dealers in relation to operational issues which would include the receipt and settlement of client deals or client identification requirements; investigation of payment instructions or location of funds.

What you’ll be doing

• Daily Bank Account Reconciliation in numerous currencies
• Daily payments of numerous currencies using appropriate payments platform
• Clarification of client / front office instructions
• Inputting client beneficiary instructions
• Outward payment processing
• Trace enquiries
• Hedging company exposure with external counterparties
• Payment Investigations including complex investigation handling (amendments, recalls, swift receipts and payment traces)
• Complete various Middle Office tasks as required

What you’ll bring

• Processing skills – Strong attention to detail, high work rate and low error count;
• Strong reconciliation knowledge and experience
• Work ethic – Enthusiastic, motivated and proactive approach to work;
• Interpersonal skills – Personable, approachable, positive and relationship building abilities;
• Workflow management – Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage deadlines;
• Experience – 3 years’ minimum experience in a settlements environment
• Computer skills – Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Excel and Word;
• FX Experience – An understanding of foreign exchange markets, foreign exchange terms and pricing calculations
• Variable working hours may be needed in line with business requirements
• Swift payment knowledge is an advantage (MT103, MT199and MT942)
