In Financial Services, we are responsible for the effective and efficient management of Council’s financial functions, including corporate and financial accounting, rates, and purchasing and supply. We are Fit for the Future and our hard working team of finance professionals are building on our strong financial sustainability and facilitating the delivery of our Community’s and Council’s vision for our City.
We are looking for a Supply Coordinator to manage Council’s Supply function, incorporating Procurement, Purchasing and Stores/Inventory Management. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our team of 6 staff (direct reports); developing and monitoring procurement policies, procedures and guidelines; negotiating contracts/agreements; maintaining and reviewing inventory control procedures; and overseeing tendering processes and quotations.
To succeed in this role, you must be skilled in leading and developing a team of professionals; managing and overseeing the preparation of tender specifications and evaluating tenders; ensuring compliance to relevant policies and procedures; and possess strong communication, negotiation and IT skills.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, purchasing and procurement or related field (e.g. Certificate, Diploma, Degree)
- Demonstrated solid corporate experience in Procurement, Purchasing and Inventory Management
- Demonstrated experience coordinating tendering processes and managing large contracts
- Proven ability to effective communicate and negotiate with stakeholders
- Demonstrated supervision/leadership experience
- Experience in developing and reviewing procurement strategies, policies and procedures
Desirable Criteria:
- Local Government Experience
- Experience with Finance One (Technology One)
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
Commencing Salary: $92,800 - $106,400 per annum, plus 9.5% superannuation.
A Leaseback Vehicle is available with this position; however, it is not a condition of employment.
