  The opportunity
The primary purpose of the Oceania Markets Learning Manager is to promote, manage, evaluate and enable the delivery of the Markets curriculum across the Oceania region.
 
Working closely with the Oceania Markets Learning Lead, this role will support our Oceania Partners and staff in being more effective in the market.  This is driven through developing and executing an Oceania learning and development strategy, tailored for Oceania. It includes embedding world class account management excellence into the DNA of our people, building our people’s business acumen, increasing the ability of our people to be connected, responsive and insightful and developing a robust relationship program that starts the day a person joins EY.
 
The role will also be responsible in building capability to support the implementation of many of the Global Markets initiatives (i.e. Growth Navigator, Creating Client Connections etc).
 
Your key responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of the firm’s Oceania Markets curriculum and leading its continued deployment and assessment across the Oceania region;
  • Work closely with the Oceania markets Lead to build our people’s capability in support of implementing markets initiatives, monitor the progress of the initiatives and make the necessary adjustment to make them successful
  • Work closely with the Oceania Markets learning Leader on special projects as required by Markets leadership
  • Engaging with senior members of the Oceania Learning & Development Team and relevant business leaders to connect the Markets curriculum to the firm’s strategy and key business initiatives;
  • Work closely with Service Line Leaders and Service Line L&D leaders to support and deliver go to market strategies and initiatives
  • Support the certification of all Global Markets learning programs
  • Managing the deployment of programs – covering materials, content, catering,  facilitator selection and participant briefings;
  • Facilitation of markets and other non-technical programs across all business units;
  • Contributing to, leading and coordinating limited program development and customisation;
  • Evaluating programs and providing feedback to local program managers and global designers on enhancements needed;
  • Contributing to the development and close monitoring of the annual learning budget
  • Oversight of all internal communications relating to Markets as well as ensuring currency of internal markets reference points online
  • Managerial oversight of a markets learning coordinator as required by the markets learning lead
 
 
Skills and attributes for success
  • Demonstrated success in building internal and external relationships at a senior level with a proven track record of success in driving a Markets agenda and business development.
  • strong background in facilitation and training with minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Excellent  interpersonal and team building skills
  • Strong influencing skills are required to work with other departments or Business Unit Leaders.
  • Leadership capabilities and ability to manage resources
  • Strong commercial acumen and business awareness
  • Clear, comprehensive understanding of EY and EY Talent
  • Stakeholder management / business consulting
  • Strong client focus with the ability to network, manage relationships and work virtually/ across borders
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organisation at all levels
  • Strong team worker with ability to coordinate and work as ‘one team’
  • Drive and deliver quality services and products to the business
  • Learning Functional expertise and knowledge of trends
  • Ability to engage and influence others, with good change management skills and a desire to act as a change champion
 
To qualify for the role you must have
  • 10+ years of facilitation / training experience
  • Highly developed presentation skills
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Proven problem solving capability
 
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • 10+ years of sales or BD experience in a client facing capacity
  • Team management
  • Ability to work to multiple deadlines, autonomously
  • Availability to travel as required
