We are seeking your expertise, to join the Banking Executive Accountability Regime (BEAR) Team as an Executive Manager. Your role plays a critical part in ensuring that CBA and its business units, executives and subsidiaries comply with the BEAR legislation.
This role will allow you to fully demonstrate your in-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance, investigation and/or management of misconduct, operational risk and governance, within a supportive and flexible environment.
Primarily your role will be to ensure the Group meets it’s obligations by providing guidance on appropriate governance and reasonable steps and to identify and investigate potential BEAR breaches. This will involve:
- Monitoring critical sources of management information for matters of interest under BEAR.
- Developing a systematic approach to filtering substantial volumes of information, while upholding the Group’s zero tolerance for overlooking BEAR breaches.
- Active engagement with high profile stakeholders across Business, Risk and support functions.
- Application of judgement to discern matters requiring investigation to determine whether BEAR has been breached.
We are interested in speaking to people with strong commercial acumen, well-reasoned judgement with the ability to wade through significant volumes of complex information in an efficient manner.
You will pride yourself on your superior influencing and negotiating skills, with your ability to negotiate with with key stakeholders.
