About the role

The role will include working with both staff and management, as well as a diverse range of suppliers, to ensure the smooth operation our accounting department. This includes managing our Accounts Receivable and Payables, management of supplier invoices, processing of payroll and reconciliation of bank accounts.

 

Your day will be both busy and varied with duties including;

 

  • Data entry
  • Creditor, and debtor management
  • Bank and GL account reconciliations
  • Cash flow management and projections
  • Payroll processing and management
  • Lodge statutory obligations including payroll tax, WorkCover, superannuation, etc
  • Liaison with external accountant

Skills and experience

Key attributes required:

 

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • An ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • An ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • An ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail

 

The ideal candidate will have:
 

  • Bookkeeping experience with small to medium businesses
  • Experience in using Xero accounting software
  • Xero Certified
  • Cert IV in Bookkeeping is desirable but not necessary
  • Extremely organised and have a systematic approach to their work
