Assistant Accountant

The Finance Manager is looking to permanently secure a qualified accountant to deliver compliance and statutory accounting services
The Company
One of the largest healthcare providers in Australia requires the services of a qualified accountant to join the finance team on a permanent basis to support the needs of the Finance Manager, the finance team and the smooth operation of the compliance and corporate services of this employee centric organisation. Excellent facilities, close to all public transport and amenities of the major business hub to Perth and a professional, well trained and smartly operating finance team.
The Role
The position on offer is the accountant for a sector of the business. Key work will include the following with room for the successful candidate to carve out their role, development and build their career in this organisation:
- Month end financial statements preparation and deliver
- All matters for tax compliance
- FBT and year end tax compliance reporting
- Fixed assets register ownership
- Consolidated financial statements process
- Preparation and 1st contact on audit prep, meetings, delivery and review before FM signoff
- Treasury, cash and transactions reporting/management
- Support in budget, forecasts and analysis of commercial operations for management reporting input
- Systems improvement including process, function mapping, $ tracking and reporting
- Ownership of the rec process across GL, AP and bank accounts
- Business process improvement opportunities
This is a full function, diverse and fast paced position requiring passion, energy and a thirst for customer service always striving to go above and beyond for the delivery of this position.
