About the role
The position (Permanent Part Time Up To 4 Days a week) assumes responsibility for a number of delegated functions and authority within the business which are summarised within this position description:
- End to end processing of company payrolls;
- Maintenance of payroll system and rostering system;
- Updating and maintaining payroll records;
- Liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries;
- Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to overtime and shift allowances etc;
- Payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations;
- Payroll administration;
- Maintenance of superannuation and ensure accurate employer contribution;
- Reconciliation for Workers Compensation Claims;
- Processing of termination payments on timely manner;
- Processing increases and calculation of back pays;
- Processing month end payroll journals;
- Assisting Financial Controller with reconciliation payment of payroll and group tax and monthly management reporting;
- Reconciling payroll related GL accounts;
- Calculating annual leave and Long Service Leave provisions/accruals;
- Analysis of payroll expenses
- Providing onsite at clinic and remote support and training for payroll system financial requirement;
- Back up for preparing employment contract and new employee documentation compliant to company policies and statutory obligations;
- Other ad hoc payroll related matters.
Skills and experience
- At least one year ADP working experience;
- Demonstrated payroll processing experience;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Attention to details;
- Ability to work to deadlines;
- Numerical ability and data entry skills;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Understanding of payroll legislation and processes;
- Ability to interpret award and relevant legislation;
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment with a focus of supporting managers across the business with commercial advice;
- Understanding of financial reports requirement;
- Customer service focus.
