The role:

The Management Accountant will be responsible for the completion of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual management reports.

Key responsibilities: -

  • General accounting duties including management of month end process, journal preparation, reconciliations, reporting and analysis
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting with detailed commentary
  • Support annual budget preparation
  • Support monthly forecast preparation
  • Cash flow management and forecasting
  • Critical financial company analysis
  • Management of statutory obligations, i.e. GST, PAYG, payroll tax, etc.
  • Ensure activities carried out in line with governance rules & processes
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Other tasks as requested by your manager

To be successful for this exciting opportunity you must demonstrate:

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years industry experience in a Management Accountant role is essential 
  • Freight experience ideal (desirable)
  • Solid experience in the completion of management accounting reports
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Proven ability to identify and introduce process improvements
  • Highly developed communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management
  • Advanced MS Office skills 

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting
  • Working towards completion of CPA
