We are a church based organisation that is engaged with our local community in a number of significant and innovative ways including operating a conference and events centre, a café / restaurant and an indoor children’s playground.
Our organisation is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. They must have a love for working with a not for profit /church based organization.
- Must be able to utiize and maintain correct records within Xero
- Maintain payables and receivables.
- To provide financial information on a regular and as required basis to management.
- Manage Pay Roll and Superannuation
- Regularly reconcile financial information from various systems with xero
- Provide regular cash flow forecasts
- Prepare profit and loss statements and balance sheets monthly
- Prepare BAS and other returns
- To pray into the finances and vision of Tailrace.
The candidate needs to have experience in accounting processes; be willing to work in a team environment and to have a strong Christian faith.
