The Company
Recognised as one of best small/mid-sized professional services firms in the Melbourne area, this company is known for its family type culture.
Currently they have a need for an experienced Business Services Accountant who enjoys working in a small team.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get their foot in the door to a great Business Services team. You will be expected to carry out work in Financial Statement Preparation, BAS, tax returns, about 40% Advisory work, etc. This firm will support your pursuit of the CA. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service to these clients, and keep your skills current with any new law changes, etc.
EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting/Finance)
- CA or CPA preferable, or on the way to completing
- Experience in a mid-tier firm preferable, or a smaller firm
- Excellent presentation and communication skills necessary
- Xero experience preferable
- BGL 360 or Class experience preferable
Your Profile
You will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate who can working independently. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You must have a recent local university degree (within the last year or two) and have proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
