Payroll Officer

Our client
Our client is a global site services giant with a footprint on the major resource projects in Australia. As a result of a recent up-scaling in their payroll function they are seeking a Payroll Officer to join their payroll department, based in the Perth CBD.
  
Opportunity
This is an outstanding opportunity to join an international blue-chip company, highly regarded in the resources sector. As the Payroll Officer your primary responsibility will be to support the Payroll Manager in managing the payroll function, including;

• Monthly and weekly end to end payroll 
• Preparing calculations and workers compensation payments
• Processing leave and superannuation payments
• Setting up starters and terminations
• Managing payroll enquiries

As the successful candidate you will possess: 

• Strong background in payroll processing (preferably large payroll numbers)
• A sound level of experience managing or coordinating payroll payments and projects
• Sound level of oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and “hit the ground running”
• Solutions based approach to your work practice with the ability to act quickly and make decisions

This is an outstanding opportunity to join an international company, working on high profile Australian resource projects. This position will be offered as an initial contract role to begin with, with a genuine long term employment opportunity on the horizon.
