Payroll Officer
Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a market leader. Based in an inner west suburb close to the CBD, this integral position is accountable to the Payroll Lead, assisting and administering a range of function to ensure compliant, accurate and timely completion of the payroll process.
Initially this role will commence as a full time role with the opportunity for permanency subject to work performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the delivery of the payroll function , assisting with fortnightly and monthly payroll.
- Assisting with the analysis of financial information ensuring alignment with the appropriate general ledgers
- Ensuring all SAP payroll date is updated in an accurate and timely manner
- Assisting with testing of payroll related IT system changes and projects
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of current payroll trends, internal process, EBA outcomes, business restructures, changes to approval authorities
- Assist with pay roll audit process
- Reporting as required
Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of SAP HR & Payroll systems
- Knowledge of payroll legislative compliance
- Knowledge of accounting for payroll
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Knowledge of HR policies, practices and procedures
- Knowledge of financial management practices and systems
