The Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Finance Manager to lead their Melbourne based team whilst also providing full Financial Control support to the business. You will also lead the transactional processing areas of the finance function and manage the processes that drive the organisations overall corporate governance. The responsibilities for the role will include the following areas.

• Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues.
• Assist with the annual budgeting & forecasting process
• Oversee acquisitions and assist in the preparation of settlement statements.
• Produce periodic reporting for the company, liaising with respective teams to produce the pack
• Review and approve all Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Develop and manage the finance team
o Annual update of PD’s and objectives
o Half yearly performance reviews
o Development plans in place
• Manage a team of five direct reports 
• Foster a business support mindset with the Finance Team, Central Support Team, External Agencies (Auditors etc).
• Drive cost efficiencies and best financial practice across central support cost centres
• Lead and improve the following processes - AP, AR, Payroll, Expenses, Financial Accounting, Fixed Assets excluding Capital WIP, Periodic Management reporting.
• Lead the implementation of Phase 2 reporting and planning tool (Vena) to automate sales reporting and budgeting.
• Lead the preparation of financial information for year-end audits;
• Ensure Statutory and Tax obligations are met.
• Facilitate the budget and forecast activities.
